Cast in a single pour of oxidised bronze by sculptor Elias Vorn. No mould was retained. The form cannot be reproduced.

Barrel turned from a 200-year-old olive tree felled in Tuscany. Nib hand-ground from 18-karat gold to the owner's writing pressure. Ink formulated from iron gall and crushed lapis lazuli.

Hand-stitched over six weeks from a single hide of Hermès-grade Barenia leather. Brass hardware cast from original Victorian-era fittings. Interior lined in hand-woven silk from Kyoto.

Mouth-blown by master glassmaker Hiroshi Tanaka in Murano. The obsidian tint achieved through a proprietary mineral compound developed over three years. No two pours could produce this colour again.
